Crystal-Eyez Bridal Spotlight - Tolu

"This was my dream wedding! I had always desired a princess-like wedding, with a horse & carriage and a garden ceremony at a castle-like venue with a small gathering of a few friends and family, and just kids on the bridal party. I wanted a very unique and classy wedding and all this came to fruition. I'm really excited and I always replay this occasion in my head. I wish it was a monthly occasion so we can party on and on and on and on LOL." - Tolu, Bride.

From our very first conversation, I could tell that Tolu was very easy-going and that she was going to be a pleasure to work with. It was going to be my first time in Sacramento CA, so that was exciting! Tolu's wedding was a fairytale wedding, just as she described it. She looked like a princess with her flawlessly painted makeup, perfectly laid hair do, her gorgeous Vera Wang gown, and her beautiful spirit. Tolu was nice enough to take the time to give us a little insight on some of her wedding details and advice...

How did you meet your husband?

I went to the salon to go get my hair done, but the salon was closed so I had to go back home with an unkempt hairdo :( On my way home, I decided to stop by at a friend's place. Mola saw me walking into this friend's building, he approached me and wouldn't let go. And the rest is history. LOL.

Tell us a little bit about how he proposed?

I was visiting Mola from England some time in 2013. It was always fun spending my vacations with him. My vacation was coming to an end when he popped the question, "WOULD YOU PLEASE BE MY MRS. O?' I wasn't expecting this as there were no signs whatsoever that he was going to do this. Of course I said a big YES and few days later we had our court wedding...yayyyy!

When and where did you get married?

We got married on the 28th of Oct, 2014 at the Grand Island Mansion, a beautiful historic landmark in the heart of Sacramento, California.

What made you choose Crystal-Eyez for your wedding makeup?

My sister, Sayo anchored a wedding ceremony in California sometime ago where Crystal-Eyez did the makeup. She said the entire bridal party looked extremely gorgeous and thought Crystal-Eyez would be ideal for me. After a series of conversations with Bisi over the phone, and a face to face meeting, I was impressed and was convinced that Bisi is a professional makeup artiste. Her website also speaks volume of her fabulous works.

How will you describe your wedding makeup look?

I wanted something really simple and classy. I didn't want my lashes too long, or my eyes too flashy. I just wanted a traditional princess-like look :-). After Bisi did my makeup, my husband went "WOW" when he saw me. He still mentions everyday that I looked super gorgeous!!!
