Crystal-Eyez Bridal Spotlight - Nickea
Congratulations to the stunning couple, Nickea and Anthony! Nickea first contacted us 8-months before her wedding. However, I didn't get to meet her until the morning of her wedding. I had the pleasure of working with her and the rest of her bridal group. Everyone looked gorgeous and we had a lot of fun. Nickea is beautiful both inside and out. She has such a great spirit and is very easy-going. She left her bridal look up to me and I'm glad she loved the results. Side note: While some people think Nickea looks like Rhianna, I see a strong resemblance to Evelyn Lozada...I just had to throw that in there.
This is what Nickea had to share with us about her love story and wedding experience...
Tell us a little bit about how he proposed?
My now husband is very calculated and random at the same time. However, I knew he wouldn't propose in front of my friends or any special holiday or birthday. In 2013 we did the 12 days of Christmas. On the 11th day he gave me a designer bag. I KNEW a ring was out because (in my mind) what else can he do better than LV? The 12th day was Christmas so I knew it wouldn't be a ring. On Christmas Day he made me get dressed before we opened our last gift. Normally we do it as soon as we get up when it's a weekend. That was strange but we were going to my parents home so it wasn't so bizarre. I got dressed and he gave me an amazing card and a gift card to The Limited (my favorite store). I was OK with that though. As we were leaving, he told me he had one more gift for me. He came back and he had a box but I thought it was a replacement necklace (I lost the first necklace and first piece of jewelry he'd ever purchased for me and was DEVASTATED). Right then he asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him!
When and where did you get married?
On November 24th, 2014. In Elk Grove Village IL.
What made you choose Crystal-Eyez for your wedding makeup?
I attended 2 weddings where both brides had used Crystal-Eyez and all of the ladies looked amazing. I trusted their work so much that I didn't even do a trial which is ALWAYS recommended for brides. My wedding day was the trial.
How will you describe your wedding makeup look?
The only desire I had was to be beautiful but to still look like myself and Bisi made that happen.
What advice do you have for future brides?
Make sure you have a realistic budget and get a wedding planner. I don't care what anyone says, you cannot trust your coworkers, best friends, or cousin to plan your wedding. Leave space in your budget for that. To be stress free is so essential. I had no vision and as time went on my planner helped me pull it together and it was amazing! Get what you want so you have no regrets. Know that you cannot have a $50k wedding on a $5k budget. If that is what you want, then wait until you can do it. I wouldn't change anything about my wedding. It was everything I wanted.

"I used Crystal-Eyez for my bridal makeup as well as my wedding party. Our makeup was AMAZING. What I loved is that I had no idea what look I was looking for. I just said "Transform me" When Bisi finished I felt like a celebrity. I didn't have to give any direction & my makeup was flawless! I can't say anything more other than they are AMAZING"
